Organizational Coaching
Navilean LLC helps organizations become successful learning organizations that develop clear long-term vs. short-term strategic goals, establish and continuously improve internal standard processes, and help internal teams (e.g., corporate regional units, divisions, and departments) evaluate and improve their effectiveness in supporting corporate goals.
Knowledge Management
Once you "learn to see" the waste within the Architecture-Engineering-Construction (AEC) industry with the help of "Lean" glasses, the challenge at hand then becomes - how can we sustain continuous improvement while upholding "Respect for People"? Navilean LLC addresses this challenge by helping organizations develop "Train the Trainer" as well as Peer-to-Peer learning programs to help organizations and project teams sustain their Lean journeys.
ABOUT
Cynthia C.Y. Tsao, Ph.D., is the Owner of Navilean LLC (a consulting firm) and the Founder of Building AEC Learning, Inc. [a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization]. Since 1997, Cynthia has worked on multi-project engagements with US and international owner, design, and construction firms and personally coached over 100 field superintendents / project managers.
She regularly coaches projects with a combined value in excess of $1 billion.
Cynthia is an avid collaborator and mentor of peers in academia and practice to help the AEC industry leverage Lean Project Delivery to dramatically improve project outcomes and thus, better serve society. She has organized, facilitated, and presented at over 50 international trade association and university events.
From 2008 to 2011, Cynthia developed an operational structure for the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) and oversaw the unprecedented growth of 3 to 17 LCI Communities of Practice.
As an organizational and project strategy coach, she guides high-performing teams in Project Team Alignment, Decision Making Strategy, Design and Delivery Management, Knowledge Management, and Production System Design and Control.
With an eye for making explicit the handoffs of work between project team members, Cynthia uses her expertise in product-process design integration to help teams transform complex design problems into ones that are easier to procure and construct by determining how to efficiently use and enhance team member capabilities.
Through her efforts in helping companies and project teams navigate their Lean journeys, Cynthia prioritizes the development of “Train the Trainer” programs to help organizations not only begin but sustain their efforts in fostering a culture of respect, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.
